CANNABIS  SALES  IN COLORADO EXPECTED  TO           BE  CLOSE TO BILLION  Dollars  By  July  2015

According to a proposal submitted by the Colorado Governors budget
office, the state of Colorado is expected to bring in around
$51 Million Dollars by end of 2013-2014 fiscal year, and the state
is expecting around $130 Million Dollars by the end of 2014-2015 fiscal year..
So, This leaves the question:  What can $130 Million in taxes buy?
1.    EDUCATION
According to a report released by the U.S. Census Bureau:  The United States spent an average of $10,615 per pupil educating its youth within the elementary-secondary school systems in 2010. The cost rose 1.1% per pupil from 2009 to 2010.
The Tax Revenue could pay for 12,246 students according to the above data……Having said that, the number of students
Throughout America; greatly trumps 12,246.  It’s only a dent but on the other-hand, how many students do the states that have regulated cannabis have?

2.     ROADS
According to the United States Federal Highway Administration, the budget estimates for 2013 were over      $81 Billion Dollars…..
So, if one state brings in over $130 Million in taxes, what could the states bring in on a federal level….This can quickly be seen by regulation on a federal level….130 X 50 = $6,500,000,000….
One says, all states won’t bring in as much revenue as the next…This can be refuted by realizing the lost income within the underground market.  This is all still relatively new so, the kinks are still being worked out.  Once this is done the tax revenue could easily be tripled….
3.     HEALTH CARE
The recent buzz about the positive impacts cannabis has by slowing or preventing the spread of the HIV virus in the stomach left us here at BUDS floored….  This was Research conducted by a credible university, who were expecting the opposite of the study’s conclusion.
The positive effects of Cannabis research will eventually lead to many more discoveries as fascinating as Curing AIDS...

MATH CAN BE FUN

(It's an old one so many have probably heard already but one of my

favorites...taken from a 1974 math journal "mostly for fun"; Three traveling

men stopped overnight at a hotel and decided to share one room. The room

cost them $10 each. Later that night, the manager returned from a trip and

said that the rate for the room should have been a total of $25; so he gave the

bellboy $5 to return to the men . On his way to the room, the bellboy decided

that three men couldn't divide $5 evenly among themselves; so he kept $2 to

himself and returned $3 to the men. Now, this made the cost of the room

amount to $9 each. In addition, the bellboy had $2. But 9+9+9+2=29. What

happened to the "missing dollar"?

In my opinion the bellboy stole more of a proportion than the 3:1 he would have been entitled to if he were one of the three men...1/3=.333......the mens equal portion is $ 8.33. which equals $25...when the bellboy took 2 dollars he stole an unequal proportion

now, he gets 40% instead of 33% which is 7% more than the three guys paid...so...7% (3) =21%......The $5 given to be paid back is %5 on a hundred so the busboy took 2% on a hundred which equals $2
The cost established by the manager was: $30 -$5 =$25. The cost to the customers was ($9)(3)=$27....The difference of $2 is the bellboys theft. That is 27 + (-2) =25 not 29.

Actually, the bus boy is getting screwed since : 20% gratuity out of $5 should be $1; which he got a 40% gratuity which equals $2...However, since 20% of $25 should be $5 he only got an 8% tip....

okay last thing...the missing one percent...8% instead of 7% can be found when the .0333 are multiplied by the three cats...3(.0333) = .099%....which is now the 8% he gets as a tip....Show gratuity to service industry!!!

INTRODUCTORY PROBLEM:

WE ALL KNOW THE PROBLEM

Problem:  "If the circumference of a planet is 24,000 miles and the angle of elevation differed by six degrees between two points on a north-south line on the same side of the equator, how far apart are the two points on the surface of the planet?

This could be a real head scratcher if we don't remember the basics...

SO.....Here We Go......

STEP 1:  Take 360 equate it to 24,000...
Step 2:  By equating you can solve for every degree...
note:  The displacement for every degree is 66.6667 miles.
Step 3:Take the elevation difference, which is six degrees and multiply by 66.6667.

ANSWER:  400 MILES
I will be back with a drawing of quadrant plain relating this problem....Visually Later Date...
